5 Things to Check Before Renting an XRF Analyzer
- Confirm the calibration paperwork is current. A rental that arrives without a current calibration certificate is a problem when an auditor shows up. We ship every rental with current paperwork.
- Ask what happens if it fails. What’s the replacement window? Is there a phone tech-support line that picks up live? You don’t want to find out the answer at 7am on the first day of a turnaround.
- Check what’s included. Some rental contracts charge extra for the calibration check, the consumables kit, or the carrying case. Confirm what you’re getting before signing.
- Verify shipping logistics. Round-trip shipping is usually included, but only within the continental US. International or Alaska/Hawaii rentals require special handling.
- Confirm the rental credit terms. Many rentals can be applied as credit toward purchase. Ask the credit window (typically 90 days) and whether there’s a per-day cap.
